Mutation details: Exon 3 was disrupted by the insertion of a neomycin resistance gene. Northern blot analysis of total testicular RNA showed the exclusive presence of a longer transcript, containing the neo transgene, in extracts from homozygous mutant mice. Western blot analysis of MEF lysates derived from homozygous mutant animals showed an absence of encoded protein using various antibodies. (J:69601)
