Mutation details: Homologous recombination flanked the three major coding exons, exons 2-4, with a loxP site and a LFNT cassette. The LFNT cassette consisted of PGK-neomycin and HSV-thymidine kinase selection sequences flanked by a pair of loxP sites and a pair of frt sites. Cre- or Flp-mediated recombination in ES cells removed the PGK-neomycin and HSV-thymidine kinase sequences prior to production of chimeras. (J:73203)
