Mutation details: Male C3H/HeH mice received a fractionated dose of (3 + 3) Gy X-rays. Mitotic studies of G-banded chromosomes show that this mutation is associated with a paracentric inversion extending from 15D2 to 15F. Expression of Trps1 which is 0.8Mb proximal to the proximal breakpoint of this inversion is markedly reduced while expression of no other candidate genes near the break points are affected.
