Phenotype Image Detail
Image
Caption Wild type (C3H top row) and Tcm/Tcm (bottom row). Homozygous mouse phenotype is first observed at 10.5 dpc as a delay in optic cup formation. The lens pit is present at 10.5 dpc and a vestige lens remains at 13.5 dpc. By 13.5 dpc the dorsal retina appears developed with both the neural and pigmented retina layers recognizable but abnormally disassociated (pigmented epithelilum flanked by arrows). In contrast, no ventral retina structures are visible. Retina and lens dysplasia is prominent by 14.5 dpc.
