(a) Diagram of the knockout-first reporter tagged targeting construct, designed by the International Knockout Mouse Consortium, illustrates the result of successful integration into the Wdfy3 gene with exon VIII flanked by loxP sites (Wdfy3^{tm1a(KOMP)Mbp}). In addition, the outcomes of Flp/FRT-mediated (Wdfy3^{tm1c(KOMP)Mbp}) and Cre/loxP-mediated recombination are presented.
