| Caption | Generation of the Ston2tm1Vha allele. (A) The Ston2 gene contains seven exons, with exon 5 comprising 70% of the coding sequence (depicted in black; noncoding sequence in gray). A targeting vector containing a neomycin cassette flanked with a 1.7-kb 5' homology arm and a 7.3-kb 3' homology arm was used to replace 1.3 kb of exon 5 by homologous recombination.
