Skeletons of heterozygous Hes7^tm1.1Dihz (BAP/+) fetuses (F) and adults (H left) are regular and resemble wild-type (WT) whereas homozygous (Hes7^tm1.1Dihz/Hes7^tm1.1Dihz (BAP/BAP) fetuses (G) and adults (H right) are regular only in the sacrum and adjacent tail, similar to BBL mice. Fetal skeletons are shown in lateral and dorsal view, adult skeletons in dorsal view; magnification of sacral and adjacent areas of the middle panel in (F,G) are shown in the bottom panel of (F,G). Arrowheads in (H) point at kinks in tails.
