E & F: Hematoxylin and eosin stained paraffin sections of skin from the lower back of wild type (E) and Ppard^tm1.1Rev/Ppard^tm1.1Rev (F) mice. The subcutaneous fat layer is dramatically shrunk in the mutant mouse, reflecting a combined effect of reduced adipocyte number and size.
