Origin: Wistar outbred rats inbred at the Central Institute for Breeding of Laboratory Animals, Zeist, The Netherlands. High incidence of hydrocephalus accompanied by optic tract lesions and microphthalmia (van Eden and Mullink 1986, personal communication).

CPB-B re-named BC.
