Inbred Strains of Mice: SMXA

SMXA

Inbr. F32-40 (1995). Set of recombinant inbred strains derived from a cross between SM/J and A/J (Goto et al 1993). Inbreeding started in 1985, and a total of 26 strains have been developed, designated SMXA1 to SMXA30 (strains 2, 13, 20 and 28 are extinct). So far, the strains have been typed at 158 marker loci (Nishimura et al, 1995).
