Inbred Strains of Mice: KSN

KSN

Inbr (Kuj) F39+23 (June 1995). Albino. Genet.c nu. Origin: A female nude mouse with good nursing ability and her litter mate obtained during the development of a DDD/1-nu/+ congenic strain, with the nude gene originating from a BALB/c-nu strain (Sudo and Suzuki, 1987, Sudo et al, 1989). Congenic strains carrying beige (bg), X-linked immune deficiency (xid) and both these have also been developed (Ishigaki et al, 1996).
