The files in this directory are the data files discussed in the paper "Ontological Visualization of Protein-Protein InteractionsÓ, by Drabkin, Hollenbeck, Hill1 and Blake.



input.txt: tab delimited text file of pairs of genes with the relation ship "column 1" binds "column 2"; this set was mined from GO annntations to "protein binding" as  of 7/30/04.

big.dot: "input.txt" converted to a GraphViz data file.

DOT_Files: data files of pairs that can be displayed using GraphViz

JPEG Output: graphics files on dot files generated by GraphViz

dot_scripts: Perl and Python scripts
	cleanup.py: removes binary only pairs and duplicate sets
	binary.py: removes binary only pairs, and self-pairing
	dottojpeg.pl: takes a directory of ".dot" files and generates 		jpegs.

directory "output": dot files generated from "big.dot" processed by "cleanup.py"
