The entire gene, comprising two exons, was replaced by a neomycin resistance gene and lacZ reporter cassette. RT-PCR analysis confirmed the absence of mRNA transcripts in epididymal white adipose tissue from homozygous mutant mice. (J:136110, J:237401)
