description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(CD2-Mafk)1Staka expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsA full-length, 0.8-kb cDNA encoding the mouse MAFK protein with a N-terminal FLAG epitope was inserted into the VA CD2 expression vector between, 5', the promoter, ATG-free mutant first exon and first intron of the human CD2 gene and 3', also from the CD2 gene, ~500 bp of 3' untranslated and flanking DNA including two polyadenylation signals and the 3' locus control region. A lacZ reporter gene was shown to be expressed from this vector in mature peripheral CD4+CD8- and CD4-CD8+ SP T lymphocytes and in peripheral CD4-CD8- DN T cells. This line was estimated via densitometric analysis to carry 2 copies of the transgene. (J:105228, J:128658)
