Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Not Applicable)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA cassette containing 25 tandem I-SceI target sites (S. cerevisiae) endonuclease recognition site (TAGGGATAACAGGGTAAT) was inserted into intron 1 of the gene. A floxed neomycin cassette was included upstream of the I-SceI cassette and was subsequently removed by transient expression of cre recombinase. Correct targeting was confirmed by Southern blotting.
