Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:124965
Parent Cell Line:  R1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  (129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl+
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsAn IRES-Mapt-lacZ reporter with a floxed neo cassette was inserted between exon 2 and 3. RT-PCR confirmed the lack of transcription from the null allele. LacZ expression was confirmed by immunohistochemistry in a small number of main olfactory epithelium consistent with the small number of Gucy2d+ neurons previously reported. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed neo cassette. (J:124965)
