Strain of Origin:  101/Rl
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Chemically induced (ENU)
Mutation:    Other

Mutation detailsAgarose gel electrophoresis of RT-PCR products from the coding region of Kitl from total RNA of mice homozygous for this allele showed products of abnormal size suggesting that this allele comprises an intragenic genomic alteration (deletion or rearrangement). The RT-PCR products were not examined further. The complexity of this allele suggests that it was a spontaneous event; not ENU induced. (J:80496)
Inheritance:    Semidominant
Find Mice (IMSR)
Mouse strains and cell lines available from the International Mouse Strain Resource (IMSR)
Carrying this Mutation:  Mouse Strains: 0 strains available      Cell Lines: 0 lines available
Carrying any Kitl Mutation:  92 strains or lines available
Notes
The complexity of this allele suggests that it was not ENU induced but rather a spontaneous event.
