mortality/aging
• become moribund by 100 - 130 days of age due to blockage of the pylorus by the tumor mass

neoplasm
• all develop gastric carcinomas that are most probably adenocarcinomas
• tumors are visible by 37 days of age and are identified as small dysplastic crypts located within the stomach mucosa in the pyloric region
• by 50 days of age high grade tumors with a focal adenoid growth pattern have already started to invade the submucosa
• tumors eventually block the pylorus and grow into the duodenum

digestive/alimentary system
• duodenum region is often enlarged
