immune system
• ovalbumin-specific IgE is decreased 54% compared to in wild-type mice
• following exposure to ovalbumin, IgG1 levels are decreased 18% compared to in wild-type mice
• however, IgG2a levels are normal
• LPS, CpG or Pam3Cys stimulation results in 47% less Cxcl1 and 36% less Ccl3 than wild-type mice
• CpG stimulation results in decreased Cxcl10 compared to in wild-type mice
• cultured peribronchiolar lymph nodes stimulated with ovalbumin produce 86% less IL-4, 95% less IL-5, 67% less IL-13, 58% less IL-6, and 92% less IL-17 compared to wild-type mice
• restimulation of splenocytes with ovalbumin results in decreased levels of IL-4 (69%), IL-5 (28%), and IL-17 (67%) compared to wild-type mice
• dendritic cells produce less IL-6 in response to LPS stimulation compared to wild-type cells
• while dendritic cells are capable of promoting proliferation of T cells isolated from Tg(DO11.10)10Dlo expressing mice, these T cells produce reduced IL-6 and IL-7 but not IL-5 when stimulated with anti-CD3 and anti-CD28 antibodies compared to wild-type dendritic cells
• dendritic cells produce less IL-6 in response to LPS, CpG or Pam3Cys stimulation compared to wild-type cells
• following exposure to ovalbumin-aerosol, mice exhibit a 56% decreased total cells in the branchoaveolar lavage including decreases in macrophages (37%), eosinophils (67%) and lymphocytes (75%) compared to in wild-type mice
