mortality/aging
• following treatment with mitomycine C, mice exhibit increased lethality compared with similarly treated wild-type mice

cellular
• following mitomycine C treatment, mice exhibit a small reduction in the frequency of sister chromatid exchange compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
• mice were sensitive to DNA crosslinking agents and to ionizing radiation
• there was no affect on somatic instability
• derived ES cells show a 2-3X increase in sensitivity to ionizing radiation

hematopoietic system
• following treatment with X-rays, mice exhibit a small hematopoietic depression unlike similarly treated wild-type mice

immune system
N
• mice were specifically examined for an effect on V(D)J recombination and none was found
• at the same time, no other gross abnormalities were observed

homeostasis/metabolism
• following treatment with mitomycine C, mice exhibit increased lethality compared with similarly treated wild-type mice
