vision/eye
• at 3 months, mice exhibit rupture of the posterior capsule unlike wild-type mice
• at 3 weeks, lenses contain small and large swollen cells or vacuoles in the lens cortical fiber with gaps between fiber cells unlike in wild-type mice
• fiber cells detach from the capsule unlike in wild-type mice
• the number of swollen fiber cells increases with age
• at 10 months, large aberrant fibers cells are observed unlike in wild-type mice
• beginning prior to 2 months of age, near complete at 3 months of age, and complete at 5 months of age
