• forestomach muscle fails to exhibit increased muscle tension above baseline following application of 100 uM UDP-glucose or neuronally mediated contractions plus 100 uM UDP-glucose unlike in wild-type mice

• however, gastric emptying and UDP-glucose repression of gastric emptying is normal
