skeleton
• incomplete closure
• mice exhibit decreased interdigitation of the frontonasal suture compared to in wild-type mice
• increased in length
• the nasal bone morphology is altered such that the skull has a domed shape
• in 80% of female mice at 20 to 22 months of age
• the periosteal perimeter is decreased in female but not male mice compared to wild-type mice
• the enodosteal perimeter and medullary areas are decreased in male and female mice compared to wild-type mice
• in female but not male mice
• at 3 months of age, bone mineral density is decreased 5.5% in the femora compared to in wild-type femora
• at 7 months of age, bone mineral density is decreased 27% in the femora compared to in wild-type femora
• cortical bone area is decreased in female but not male mice compared to wild-type mice
• mice exhibit loss of bone mass that is more severe in female mice
• however, cancellous bone mass is normal

growth/size/body
• the nasal bone morphology is altered such that the skull has a domed shape
• mice exhibit shorter and wider faces than wild-type mice
• mice exhibit shorter and wider faces than wild-type mice
• at weaning and persisting through the rest of their lives
• however, lean and fat mass are normal
• at weaning mice are shorter in length than wild-type mice and at 6 months mice are 9% shorter in length than wild-type mice

homeostasis/metabolism

immune system
