• mice are hyperoxaluric compared to controls with males showing a higher urinary oxalate concentration than females at the same genotype
• urine oxalate levels increase in male mice treatment with ethylene glycol
• neprhocalcinosis develops in male mice after treatment with ethylene glycol
• at 6 months, 62 of 112 male mice have stones in their urinary bladder
• creatinine clearance is reduced in male mice treatment with ethylene glycol
• renal failure develops in male mice after treatment with ethylene glycol
