Mouse lines carrying:
Btg2tm1Spo mutation (0 available); any Btg2 mutation (14 available)
phenotype observed in females
phenotype observed in males
N normal phenotype
skeleton
• the sacral vertebrae begin at vertebra 26 instead of vertebra 27
• rib rudiments in the 20th vertebra were minute or completely absent, indicating a transformation of the 13th thoracic vertebra (T13) to the first lumbar vertebra
• 6/22 homozygotes had the first set of ribs attached to the 7th rather than the 8th vertebra, indicating a transformation of the 7th cervical vertebra (C7) to the first thoracic vertebra
