Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsThe targeting vector is designed to insert a loxP-flanked neomycin cassette and an EGFP reporter onto a portion of exon 7 (prior to the transmembrane domains) and to replace all of exon 8. Northern analysis of liver, lung, spleen, heart, eye, brain, testes, and kidney detected multiple short transcripts. Cre-mediated recombination removed the floxed neo cassette. The EGFP reporter does not appear to express. (J:255568)
