Mutation detailsA targeting construct was designed to replace exon 1, including the translation start, of the bone morphogenetic protein 7 (Bmp7) gene with a creER fusion gene (a Cre recombinase fused to a human estrogen receptor ligand binding domain). The Cre/ER sequence is followed by a hGHpA cassette (human Growth Hormone polyadenylation signal) and a frt-flanked puromycin resistance (puro) cassette. The chimeric mice were bred to mice expressing FLP Recombinase to remove puro cassette. (J:101977)
