Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Ap1m2tm1.1Ohno
Name: adaptor protein complex AP-1, mu 2 subunit; targeted mutation 1.1, Hiroshi Ohno
MGI ID: MGI:5704433
Synonyms: Ap1m2-, deltaEX4,5
Gene: Ap1m2  Location: Chr9:21294615-21312349 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr9, 7.76 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:226582
Parent Cell Line:  E14.1 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Intragenic deletion
Mutation detailsA single loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 4 and a loxP-flanked neomycin selection cassette was inserted downstream of exon 5. Cre-mediated recombination resulted in the deletion of the loxP-flanked exons 4 and 5 as well as the neomycin selection cassette. RT-PCR analysis demonstrated that no detectable transcript was present in the small intestinal epithelium of homozygous mutant mice. (J:226582)
