description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Humanized sequence, Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe human FGFR1 with a substitution of lysine 656 in the auto-inhibition loop of the tyrosine kinase domain with glutamic acid is under the control of the prostate specific rat probasin promoter. This mutation alters the conformation of the auto inhibition loop in the tyrosine kinase domain that exposes the catalytic site of the kinase to substrates without external activation of the FGFR complex thus creating a constitutive active FGFR1. Three lines were established. The pound symbol (#) is used when line is not specified and/or lines are pooled. (J:87519)
