Mutation detailsThis transgene consists of the 1.9 kb human insulin promoter region, rabbit beta-globin intron, human diphtheria toxin receptor (HBEGF) with L148S/P149T mutations, and the polyadenylation signals of rabbit beta-globin and SV40. It was injected into the pronucleus of Prkdcscid eggs. Transgene expression is seen in pancreatic beta cells and administration of diphtheria toxin results in HBEGF expressing cells. (J:204420)
