Parent Cell Line:  Not Specified (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6J
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsAn FRT-flanked PGK-neo cassette is inserted into intron 1, followed by loxP-flanked exon 2. Flp- and Cre- mediated recombinase removed the neo cassette and exon 2, resulting in an alternative start and early stop in exon 3. Western blot analysis and immunostaining confirmed the absence of protein expression in coronal brain slices from homozygous mice. (J:202741)
