Mutation
origin
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:203277
Parent Cell Line:  CJ7 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129S1/Sv-Oca2+ Tyr+ Kitl+
Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout)
Mutations:    Insertion, Intragenic deletion

Mutation detailsA loxP site was inserted upstream of the coding sequence for the BTB/POZ domain (exon 2). A floxed neomycin resistance cassette was inserted downstream of exon 3. Cre-mediated recombination removed the neomycin resistance cassette, exon 2 and exon 3. Western blot analysis confirmed the absence of protein expression in chondrocytes. (J:203277)
