Transgene Detail
Symbol: Tg(CAG-Bmpr1a*,-lacZ)1Nobs
Name: transgene insertion 1, Noboru Suzuki
MGI ID: MGI:5473821
Synonyms: Tg(CAG-flox-dnBmpr1a-NLLacZ)1Nobs
Transgene: Tg(CAG-Bmpr1a*,-lacZ)1Nobs  Location: unknown
Strain of Origin:  C57BL/6J x B6;129X1-Pcp2tm1(cre)Nobs
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Conditional ready, Dominant negative, Inserted expressed sequence, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion
Tg(CAG-Bmpr1a*,-lacZ)1Nobs expresses 1 gene
Mutation detailsThis transgene consists of the CAG promoter, loxP flanked stop codon, a 0.6 kb dominant-negative mouse Bmpr1a cDNA lacking the intracellular kinase domain (Y176STOP), a 0.5 kb internal ribosomal entry site (IRES), a 3.5 kb lacZ gene containing the nuclear localization signal, and a polyadenylation signal. Upon Cre-mediated excision of the Stop codon, the modified allele expresses the dominant negative Bmpr1a and lacZ in tissues where Cre is expressed. (J:192670)
