Mutation detailsA BAC clone containing the murine Klf4 gene was modified by recombineering methods so that a cre recombinase sequence was fused to a tamoxifen-inducible estrogen receptor was inserted at the initial methionine (start codon). The purified construct was injected into fertilized oocytes. Founder animals were generated and cre activity was analyzed by crossing founders to the cre-responsive reporter (ROSA-lacZ) or floxed Klf4 animals. (J:187932, J:188101, J:189337)
