Mutation detailsThe insertion of a construct consisting of a tetracycline operator, CMV promoter, Bmp4 cDNA, IRES lacZ, and FRT flanked pgk-neo cassette, and a poly-adenylation sequence was inserted in place of a 665 bp region that includes the basal promoter and exon1 of the gene. Analysis of p-Smad1/5/8 activity in heterozygous mice indicates this is a hypomorphic allele. (J:169047, J:181229)
