description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Inserted expressed sequence, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion

Gt(ROSA)26Sortm1.1(CAG-Fto)Rdc expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsA construct containing a CAGGs promoter, a floxed neo stop cassette, an Fto cDNA, and an FRT flanked IRES-GFP cassette was inserted via homologous recombination. Cre mediated recombination removed the floxed neo-stop cassette. Heterozygous mice show about an 8 fold increase in protein expression in the pancreas. Homozygous mice show about an 11 fold increase in expression in skeletal muscle. (J:166829)
