Targeted Allele Detail
Symbol: Plautm1.1Bug
Name: plasminogen activator, urokinase; targeted mutation 1.1, Thomas H Bugge
MGI ID: MGI:4836576
Synonyms: PlauGFDhu, uPAY23N-R28N-R30H-R31W
Gene: Plau  Location: Chr14:20886728-20893453 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr14, 11.53 cM
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:164542
Parent Cell Line:  Bruce 4 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  B6.Cg-Thy1a
Allele Type:    Targeted (Not Applicable)
Mutations:    Insertion, Nucleotide substitutions
Mutation detailsExon 4 was replaced with one in which nucleotide substitutions (resulting in the amino acid substitutions Y23N, R28N, R30H, and R31W) abolish the ligand receptor interacting domain governed by the burial of the beta-hairpin of the growth factor domain (GFD). The overal structure and catalytic function of the protein is preserved. A floxed neo cassette inserted downstream of the modified exon 4 was removed by cre mediated recombination. (J:164542)
