Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Chemically induced (ENU)
Mutation:    Single point mutation

Mutation detailsThe mutation is an A to T transversion at nucleotide position 358 of the mRNA sequence, in the third of the gene's 9 exons (Genbank record NM_013674). It results in replacement of arginine by serine at amino acid position 96 of the protein (R96S), in the alpha3 helix of the DNA binding domain. (J:160882) Additional incidental mutations were detected in sequencing for the causative mutation, Irf4m1Btlr, and may be present in stocks carrying this mutation.
Inheritance:    Recessive
