Gene trapped Allele Detail
Symbol: Appl1Gt(RRS819)Byg
Name: adaptor protein, phosphotyrosine interaction, PH domain and leucine zipper containing 1; gene trap RRS819, BayGenomics
MGI ID: MGI:4332126
Gene: Appl1  Location: Chr14:26918986-26970611 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr14, 16.09 cM, cytoband B
Mutant Cell Line:  RRS819
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:211794
Parent Cell Line:  Other (see notes) (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Null/knockout)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector     Vector: pGT0Lxf     Vector Type: gene trap
Mutation detailsThe gene trap vector, pGTxf, which contains a splice acceptor-beta geo cassette-polyadenylation sequence, was inserted between exon 7 and exon 8. The insertion results in the disruption of the gene transcription and expression. Western blot analysis confirmed absence of protein expression in liver, fat, and skeletal muscle tissue homogenates from homozygous mutant mice. (J:211794)

All BayGenomics gene trap mutations were generated in either CGR8 or E14TG2a (129P2/OlaHsd) parental ES cell lines, with the majority in subline E14TG2a.4. The specific ES cell line in which each mutation was made is not specified.
