Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Dominant negative, Inducible, Inserted expressed sequence)
Inducer:    doxycycline/tetracycline
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Myh6/tetO-PRKCA*)1Jmk expresses 1 gene

Mutation detailsThe rabbit PRKCA cDNA carrying the dominant negative L368A mutation was fused to the cardiac-specific alpha myosin heavy chain (Myh6) mouse promoter. The promoter is minimally active/attenuated through the ablation of three GATA sites and two thyroid-like response elements. Seven copies of tetracycline-responsive promoter element (tetO) are fused to the promoter. (J:88510, J:132098)
