Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Targeted (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsA floxed neomycin resistance gene, a splice accepter, an internal ribosome entry site, a SV40 large and small T antigen coding region, and an extra copy of the IgH intronic enhancer Emu were inserted in a reverse orientation between DQ52 and JH1 in the IgH locus. The neomycin gene was removed after targeting by crossing founder mice with transgenic mice expressing cre in the germline. SV40 T antigen transcripts were detected by RT-PCR in B cells. (J:150315)
