Transgene
origin
Strain of Origin:  (CBA x C57BL/6)F1
Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe rat Cyp1a1 promoter was used to drive expression of a cre/ERT fusion that is inducible and dose-dependent. Cre expression in various tissues (small intestine, liver, bladder, stomach, esophagus and gall bladder) is only achieved following treatment with tamoxifen and beta-napthoflavone. Two lines were created with identical expression patterns. (J:143936)
