Gene trapped Allele Detail
Symbol: Atg16l1Gt(BC0122)Wtsi
Name: autophagy related 16-like 1 (S. cerevisiae); gene trap BC0122, Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute
MGI ID: MGI:3818574
Synonyms: ATG16L1Hm1
Gene: Atg16l1  Location: Chr1:87755870-87792428 bp, + strand  Genetic Position: Chr1, 44.44 cM
Mutant Cell Line:  BC0122 (SIGTR)
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:141419
Parent Cell Line:  E14TG2a.4 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Project Collection: Sanger Inst. Gene Trap Res.
Allele Type:    Gene trapped (Hypomorph)
Mutation:    Insertion of gene trap vector     Vector: pGT2lxr
Mutation detailsA gene-trap vector containing a splice acceptor followed by a beta-geo cassette disrupted the gene locus by inserting within the intronic region after exon 6. Protein expression of both the alpha and beta isoforms of the gene product were 23-37% of wild-type as determined by immunoblots of ileal lysates from homozygous mice. This is a hypomorphic allele.
