Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inserted expressed sequence)
Mutation:    Insertion

Mutation detailsThe transgene construct contained the murine Tnf-alpha gene driven by the rat insulin 2 promoter (RIP). Founder mice carried the transgene with copy number ranging from 2-20 per genome. Line 17 was used for further study. Transcripts of the transgene were detected by Northern blot only in the pancreas of the mice. (J:91820)
