Notes
Peritoneal macrophages from homozygous mice produce no type I interferon (IFN), and reduced amounts of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha in response to lipopolysaccharide (LPS), a Toll-like receptor (TLR) 4 ligand. Homozygous macrophages produce normal levels of type I IFN in response to poly I:C (TLR3 ligand).
