Transgene
description
Transgene Type:    Transgenic (Inducible, Recombinase)
Inducer:    tamoxifen
Mutation:    Insertion

Tg(Myh6-cre/Esr1*)1Liao expression driven by 1 gene

Mutation detailsThis transgene expresses a cre recombinase/ mutant estrogen receptor ligand-binding domain fusion protein under the control of a mouse cardiac-specific alpha-myosin heavy chain promoter. The protein is inactive until induced with tamoxifen. On a C57BL/6 background, the inducible cre expression is higher than that of a similar transgene on a 129/Sv background. The protein is inactive until induced with tamoxifen. (J:109582)
