Mutation detailsThis transgene expresses cre recombinase as a fusion protein with two copies of a tamoxifen-responsive estrogen receptor under the control of the CMV enhancer/ chicken beta-actin promoter. Expression was detected in a patchy pattern, with the highest levels of expression in skeletal and heart muscle tissue. In kidneys, cre is expressed in the nucleus of podocytes. (J:106338)
