Gene: Thbs4  Location: Chr13:92888098-92931326 bp, - strand  Genetic Position: Chr13, 47.75 cM
Mutant Cell Line:  6372
Germline Transmission:  Earliest citation of germline transmission: J:101679
Parent Cell Line:  E14 (ES Cell)
Strain of Origin:  129P2/OlaHsd
Project Collection: Deltagen
Allele Type:    Targeted (Null/knockout, Reporter)
Mutation:    Insertion
Mutation detailsA bacterial lacZ gene was inserted into the gene such that the endogenous gene promoter drives expression of beta-galactosidase. While RT-PCR analysis detects a gene transcript in most tissues analyzed, highest levels are seen in skin, gallbladder, skeletal muscle, tongue and ovary and no transcripts are detectable in bone marrow and cecum. Beta-galactosidase expression from this allele is detectable in brain, sciatic nerve, eyes, heart, larynx, skeletal muscle, testis and connective tissue.
