Interval mapping was performed on a (BALB/c x C57BL/6)F1 x (C3H x DBA/2)F1 cross to identify QTLs affecting the level of T cell subsets in virgin and mated animals at 8 and 18 months of age. A QTL associated with CD8 memory T cell subset levels, Cd8mts4, mapped to 71 cM (D11Mit168) on mouse Chromosome 11 with statistical significance of P<0.05. Cd8mts4 is associated with CD8 memory T cell levels in 8 month old virgin mice.
