Mutation
description
Allele Type:    Chemically induced (ENU)
Mutation:    Single point mutation

Mutation detailsThis phenotypic mutant was identified in an ENU mutagenesis screen. A T to A transversion in an intron located between exons 2 and 3 in ENSMUST00000114015 and ENSMUST00000114017 transcripts, was confirmed by sequencing (J:205107)
Inheritance:    Recessive

Carrying this Mutation:  Mouse Strains: 0 strains available      Cell Lines: 0 lines available
Carrying any Map2 Mutation:  108 strains or lines available
Notes
Males are infertile: very low testis weight, no epididymal sperm are recovered. Histological analysis shows arrest of spermatogenesis during late pachytene stage of meiotic prophase, some germ cells appear apoptotic.
